I

get this daily bible verse newsletter every day and it had this posted on it; I think it is interesting.

The motto IN GOD WE TRUST was placed on United States currency in 1861.

"Dear Sir: No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins."

-James Pollock
, Director of the Mint at Philadelphia, 1861

I think it is interesting how the United States started off with men who were strong followers of Christ and then today you hear about people wanting to get rid of God because of freedom of choice. Where are the people like Pollock that stand up for God in our country that started off with the help of God in the first place?

Just a thought.
